Sialk Player opens on an empty playlist called Untitled that exists nowhere on disk, the way Sialk Operator opens on an untitled show. Add files and press Take, and nothing has been written anywhere. The first Save asks for a name and a place; every Save after that writes silently. Save As writes the same playlist somewhere else and it takes the new file's name.
The file is Name.slkp. A playlist saved by beta 0.1.3 as .sialkplaylist still opens, and is saved as .slkp from then on. Each film's path is written relative to the document when the film sits beside or below it, and absolute otherwise. So a season travels: copy the folder to a stick with the films in it, and the playlist opens on another Mac with every film found. Double-click a playlist anywhere, or choose Open Playlist, and it is opened where it is, never copied.
Nothing about the last run is remembered. The next launch is Untitled again; a room that runs on opening hours names the playlist it plays under Settings, Opening hours, and the room opens that file at the open time.
The column beside the running order lists the playlist files in Documents, Sialk, Player, Playlists, the open one lit. Click one to open it. Each row has rename and delete; delete asks once and sends the file to the Bin. Taking a file out of the running order asks the same way. If a film moves, its row offers a relink that keeps the entry's own choices, subtitles included.
