Install
- Get the disk image from the download page and open it.
- Drag Sialk Player to your Applications folder.
- Double-click it. The build is signed and notarised by Apple, so macOS opens it like any other application and asks for nothing.
What you need
- A Mac on Apple silicon, macOS 12 or later.
- A projector or a second display, on HDMI or USB-C. Without one the wall is a labelled window on your laptop, and it moves to the projector the moment you plug one in.
- Your films and stills, anywhere on the disk or on a stick.
Nothing else needs installing. The one thing the app deliberately does not carry is ffmpeg, and the two places it would help say so themselves: subtitles buried inside a container, and Prepare for the wall.
What you are looking at
Two windows open. The control window on your laptop: the playlist on the left, the preview and This file beside it, the wall's own strip along the bottom, Settings behind a key. The wall on the projector: black, and nothing but the picture ever reaches it. No desktop, no cursor, no window edge.
The dropdown at the top left names the display the wall is on. The green dot means a projector is connected.
